Lazy Self-Indulgent Book Reviews: Am I The Only One

Who owns, like, forty Moleskins, because I start one, write diligently in it for a week, and then don’t look at it again for a few months, and think it’ll be messy to tear out the old pages? And weird to just start writing again as though there wasn’t a gap?

I should have a line item in my budget…

Dear God no, you are not alone. It’s embarrassing how many mostly empty moleskines I own.

And every time I buy a new one, I always assure myself it won’t happen again.

  2. fordxcore said: I am also a lefty who uses them thar fancy pens and I have no issue! I may, however, write on a very strange sort of angle by habit. (also lefties are the coolest, by far. High five!)
  3. myheartandmyskull said: I find some strange satisfaction in filling them. I’m not always a regular journaler, either. Sometimes there are significant gaps. Sometimes it takes years to fill ‘em up. Embrace the gaps! As long as you date your entries it’s totally fine.
  4. lizstinylife said: Why should we judge ourselves for loving those beautiful little notebooks? Can we not just have that small pleasure in life? It’s not our fault. I do judge the people who buy anything but black ones, though.
  5. lonelyassassin said: I am also an unabashed notebook-abandoner, but I desperately want a Moleskine sketchbook. I haven’t been able to justify buying one yet, considering my sketches are hideous.

  11. ellebeauregard said: With you on all counts! So much pressure starting a new notebook! I have found a way to prevent left-hand-ink-smearing, though, by turning my notebook sideways (so my hand runs below the words instead of over them.) I look weird, but it’s worth it.
